Resumo

. “Quid est Veritas?”. Religion ‘s special account in the contitutional system. Should religion be special in the constitutional framework? The article stress the debate on the constitutional value of religion and the possibility for grounding legal accommodations to general commitments. Many scholars usually reply to the question denying the speciality of religious committments and they do not warrant any special treatment, meanwhile others refer to the role the religion commitmens usually play in the people’s life in order to justify religion as the subject of special constitutional protection. Accommodationists try to provide an account of what is special about religion, non-accommodationists reject the counterpart’s arguments and require for religion the same protection level provided for the Free speech.
